Town Money Saver recently welcomed two new franchisees to its family—Mike McCollom and David Clarke.

McCollom and Clarke both come to TMS with a wealth of experience in sales and advertising and have shown great passion for serving their individual communities. New TMS Area Developer Will Perkins oversees their operations.

With the additions, TMS’s current number of franchisees is 49.

Originally from Montana, McCollom serves Somerset, Kentucky, taking over for Perkins, who was the former franchisee of the market. McCollom is an active member of the Somerset Chamber of Commerce and holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of the Cumberlands.

“Upon completion of my MBA, I began searching for new opportunities in the world of marketing,” McCollom said. “After spending eight years in print advertisement at the Commonwealth Journal Newspaper, Town Money Saver seemed like the perfect transition, and it absolutely has been.”

McCollom enjoys the freedom being a franchisee has provided him and said he is “amazed” at the growth he was able to achieve in a short time.

In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his sons, Nick and Ryan; his girlfriend, Lacy; and her daughter, Elora. Additionally, McCollom and Lacy will be welcoming a baby girl in late October 2017. McCollom also enjoys watching Chicago sports team and college sports.

“I look forward to enjoying the various opportunities being a part of the Town Money Saver family will afford me.”

TMS Franchisee David Clarke

Clarke serves the communities of Logan and Nelsonville, home of Hocking Hills State Park, in Ohio. He is a veteran of the United States Navy and has lived in 12 states.

“Frankly, I am well-traveled—I’ve been to 37 states, and, due to the Navy, I’ve visited 17 countries,” he said. “I have been in sales all my life and always a commission-based compensation. I love serving the homeless and am very active in outreach in Ohio.”

Clarke’s hobbies include canoeing, golf, history, and car shows. Clarke has three children, Adam, Megan, and Hannah. They all are in ministry together and are very close, Clarke said.

“I also love to cook and make a mean meatloaf,” he added.

Within the past few years, TMS revised its branding and began offering its Performance Awarded Franchise Opportunity, which gives prospective franchisees the ability to earn a franchise without fees. Both McCollom and Clarke took advantage of this program.

“Our Performance Awarded Franchise Opportunity has been a real game-changer for us and is simply unheard of in our industry,” TMS President Bill Zirzow said. “There has absolutely been no better time than now to start franchising with us.”
